Release of the first ever strategy for Tonga’s National Statistical System on the 6th November, 2018


Tonga will be the very first country in the pacific to have poverty statistics and the report of accessing its progress towards the eradication of poverty in the kingdom will be out on the 2018 Tonga Statistics Day the 6th November, 2018

Cyclone Gita Household Impact Assessment

TSD carried out a Household Impact Assessment census after the tropical cyclone Gita and has released its report on the 6th November, 2018

Sustainable Development Goal

The department’s trying to improve the statistical system and providing trainings to enable statisticians to generate indicators accommodating the SDGs.

This year we’ve managed to get a sneak peak of the Food Consumption pattern in Tonga based on the 2016/16 Household Income and Expenditure Survey.
