We are pleased to share that the Tonga Statistics Department’s  Secondary School Outreach team has successfully launched and completed its school visitations in Vava’u.

From Monday 13 to Friday 17 April, the team visited seven secondary schools across Vava’u, delivering presentations and interactive Questions & Answer sessions tailored for senior secondary students.

This initiative was launched in response to the growing demands for statistical information from secondary school students in recent years; supporting them with access to quality official statistics for use in school projects and assignments.

The outreach aims to bring official statistics closer to the next generation by equipping students with the knowledge and confidence to use official statistics in their academic work, while also raising awareness for the upcoming Tonga Census 2026.

We extend our sincere appreciation to the principals, teachers and students of the Secondary Schools in Vava’u for their warm welcome and enthusiastic participation.

The Outreach team will continue its school visitation next week to ‘Eua.
