The Tonga Statistics Department (TSD) is pleased to announce the release of the 2021 Census of Population and Housing: Constituency Reports. These reports provide detailed information on the demographic, social and economic characteristics of the population and households within each of Tonga’s 17 electoral constituencies, based on data from the 2021 Population and Housing Census. They include maps and charts to illustrate the spatial distributions and trends of key indicators.
The census covered all persons who were present in Tonga on the night of 30 November 2021, collecting data on a wide range of topics such as age, sex, marital status, education, employment, housing conditions, access to services and facilities, disability, and ethnicity and more.
The constituency reports serve as a valuable source of information for policymakers, planners, researchers, development partners and the public. In addition, an interactive constituency-based dashboard is availabe, showcasing key indicators for both the population and households.
